Due to circumstances beyond our control InFX have moved to new offices in Hastings. Our head office will be undergoing massive rennovation over the coming months including state-of-the-art solar panels to help keep InFX super 'green' going forward.

InFX go from firewalls and intrusion detection to multi-core network security appliances

1,000,000 unwanted emails and hack attempts in 4 days, ALL stopped, does your ISP? InFX Solutions have deployed their latest green Webserver(1) and a Network Security Appliance(2) to go in front of their state-of-the-art network.

InFX run their own high capacity multi-core servers from a major London Data Centre each has a unique purpose - creating an incredibly stable distributed hosting solution. Remember, we do not 'just host', our state-of-the-art network is part, the heart, of our incredible Website Solutions.

(1) Environmentally friendly hosting is achieved by maximising power usage against webserver performance and capability. Our new ultra fast server is a 3U unit with 32Gb 128bit Ram, 2 Quadcore Opteron HE processors and six 15k SAS drives in RAID 6 configuration.

(2) On top of the many firewalls and brute force (intrusion) detection systems we have deployed and developed; our new NSA has already blocked over 1,000,000 'dodgy' connections most of which would have tried to deliver spam email into our network, to our clients. The effect has been a dramatic drop in server loads due to a huge reduction in the volume of spam getting into our network.

Perfect customer service

It's not often that a supplier really surprises you... But that is exactly what happened to us with AMD. We are currently expanding and upgrading our server hardware platform in London and brought new processors (like brains) from AMDs latest high spec 'Shanghai' generation (AMD are a competitor to Intel).

Unfortunately we didn’t have confirmation that our new processors don’t work in our servers until the ‘bios’ has been 'flashed'. We gave AMD Technical Support in the UK a call to explain our predicament, and that we had been unable to actually buy an older generation processor to enable us to flash the BIOS in our new server! So chancing our luck we asked, really nicely, if AMD could lend us one – and to our very pleasant surprise the customer service team said yes. What a refreshing change! The new set up means that InFX now uses less power, is 50-100x faster for disc based operations and has double the processor cores for the network (28 cores so far in five physical servers). Faster than any competitive products due to our 'grid/mesh/cloud' like setup. Each Professional eCommerce solution could now receive up to 5 million visitors per day, the power for unprecedented numbers of sales. Hastings Agency wins Chichester Cathedral Automation Contract

InFX Solutions, the Hastings based web design and digital agency, have been awarded the contract to develop Chichester Cathedral's brand new Events Management System. InFX already designed, built and support the present Cathedral website launched in November 2008.

''We are absolutely delighted to have won this business, especially in the present financial climate. This means we will be taking on an extra software developer and content designer ensure we deliver this state of the art system on time'' said Marc Woodhead, InFX Managing Director.

The first phase of the new system will be InFX eCommerce solution (now in its fourth generation) to allow the Cathedral to sell all of their shop merchandise online. The whole system InFX are producing will include 6 websites, customer relationship management, eCommerce and box office facilities for all. This will allow all parties connected with Cathedral, being the Cathedral Restoration Trust, Friends, Enterprises, along with Chichester Festivities to sell online, collect donations, promote all up and coming events and hospitality opportunities.

Ruth Poyner, Cathedral spokesperson said: ''We are very pleased to be working with Marc and his team at InFX on this important project. This new development will help us communicate with many more people than before, making the Cathedral ever more accessible. In a similar vein, developing our retail and commercial activities generates much needed revenue that enables us to keep admission to the Cathedral completely free of charge.''

Crowhurst Park became worthy runners up in the South East's premier 'Tourism ExSEllence Awards' last night for their state of the art website. 'This is fantastic recognition for all the hard work we and our digital agency, InFX Solutions, have put in to our easy to use, comprehensive and visually stunning website in the last twelve months. We are really pleased to now have an award winning site, especially in the present climate where we are going to have to try harder to attract customers' said Hamilton Williams, Sales and IT Manager.
