The History

First read on, we've covered a lot of ground already...

How Ben, Marc and Nick came together

Nick Silk and Marc Woodhead  did not meet for many years but their paths crossed on several key occasions. Nick's ongoing work in the world of huge multi-national hotel chains and beverage manufacturers eventually led him to make a request of his old friend Graham How of Brooker and How Ltd (now part of Adams Creative) for a state-of-the-art design for Ministry of Sounds' new bar concept, Marc, then a freelancer, produced a fantastic design which won him his place in Brooker & How. Ministry never proceeded with the project.

Essentially thanks to Nick, a year later, a second major opportunity arrived at Brooker & How with the requirement for a web based Chinese & English front end interface to a huge multi-national hotel booking database for the Chinese market. Marc hired a programmer who was very good, but disappeared, before doing so he introduced Marc to Ben Clayton, they succeeded in delivering the project well within the time allowed and beyond expectation. The rest, as they say, is history...

Ben and Marc have subsequently designed and developed the core of the CMS and system tools that make up InFXs' unique offerings. Together with some of the finest interface design since Apple, the flawless software they produce lasts! One of their earliest projects (after completing an ASP based search engine, in Chinese!) was Flowers for Friends, not the abomination online right now, but a flawless exercise in artistic photography, design, programming, and technology. They won first place in the Independent newspaper against ALL the others for their online solution. No other online florists have updated their methodology to match even after 5 years, InFX still have the fully operational, artificially intelligent, managed selection ecommerce system to demonstrate...

Ben and Marc's finest hour and introducing Chris

After Ben transcoded a 20 year old masterpiece of Bank calculation software into a web based interface; together with Chris he created an 11 page dynamic two way application form, then we hooked it up to an ultra secure, load balanced server array and encrypted PDF generation system of Marc's creation. The new website went to number three in Google for the keyword 'Mortgage'* within 3 weeks (with help from Adams Creatives' Liz). The Building Society proceeded to treble their mortgage sales rate in less than 2 months, compared with the year before. At the time Natwest were 1 in Google, Portland 2, we have proof(!) Portland bought the fantastically performing Lambeth within another 3 months. Natwest then bought Portman shortly after! It's nice to play a small role in these things!

After these experiences of 'big business' Marc worked hard to earn his place along side Nick & Ben and ironically, finally free, it was Marc who asked Nick to join him in the exciting new future of InFX Solutions, the rest will be history, we assure you.

Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events which occur in a meaningful manner, but which are casually un-related. In order to be synchronous, the events must be related to one another conceptually, and the chance that they would occur together by random chance must be very small.
